Katie Scholl, President / Director – Katie has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Otterbein College. Prior to attending nursing school, she worked in a veterinary office as an assistant. Katie is currently a nurse practitioner for The Ohio State University, but her true passion is with animals. She has been a part of Peace for Paws Ohio since the beginning. She has always had a love for animals and their well-being. She is the proud mom to four rescued dogs (Zoey, Heidi, Charley, and Chesney) and one rescued cat (Louie) and has fostered countless other dogs.
Dr. Kris Haumshild, Vice President / Medical Director – Dr. Haumschild has a Bachelor of Zoology from the University of Wisconsin, a Master’s in Molecular Cell Biology from Wright State University, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Haumschild started volunteering for a veterinary hospital in Cincinnati back in 1999 while working for Procter and Gamble. After five years, she fell in love with emergency medicine and critical care and pursued her DVM degree. Dr. Haumschild is currently a practicing veterinarian in Dublin. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she now resides in Shawnee Hills with her significant other, Dave. They share their home with three dogs and six cats. In her free time, Dr. Haumschild enjoys scuba diving (previous instructor), traveling and relaxing with yoga exercises.
Todd Patrick, Secretary / Directors – Todd is the Director of Operations with National Automotive Brokerage Services, a division of Bobb Suzuki. He has worked in the auto industry most of his adult life and specifically with NABS for 5 years. He spends his free time working in animal rescue with Emily Gates and their three children, Owen, Avery and Aidan. Todd and Emily reside in Plain City and have a dog boarding facility that allows them to foster many rescue dogs and cats. They have several dogs and cats of their own in addition to chickens and ducks. Todd’s compassion for animals and inspiration for rescue started when he adopted an abuse German Shepherd named Cleveland in 2002 from his local vet. She went through multiple surgeries including a front leg amputation. Through all of that, Cleveland is a devoted family member and friend. She is still around 11 years later and she’s as healthy and happy as can be.
